About OchiMedia

OchiMedia is a documentary media initiative focused on humanitarian work, medical missions, and communities affected by crisis. Through photography, documentary film, interviews, reporting, and public programs, it documents stories of service, collaboration, and recovery in partnership with nonprofits, medical teams, and community organizations.
Its mission is to document humanitarian work and the people behind it, helping audiences better understand both the challenges communities face and the collaborative efforts to address them.
Founded in 2024, OchiMedia works with nonprofit organizations, medical teams, and community partners to create visual documentation, publish stories, and preserve the history of humanitarian efforts.
Founder

Tatyana Bessmertnaya is a documentary photographer, videographer, and independent journalist based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Originally from Kherson, Ukraine, she founded OchiMedia to combine documentary photography, filmmaking, and reporting in support of humanitarian and medical initiatives.
Since 2023, her work has focused primarily on Ukraine, documenting international medical missions, humanitarian initiatives, and advocacy efforts in both Ukraine and the United States. Earlier projects documented humanitarian and educational initiatives in Guatemala, India, Zimbabwe, and the United States.
She works closely with nonprofit organizations, surgeons, humanitarian teams, and journalists to document stories that might otherwise go unrecorded, creating visual and written records of medical collaboration, humanitarian response, and community initiatives.
Her work has appeared in CBS News, FOX 4 Dallas, The Dallas Morning News, Kyiv Post, Today’s Medical Developments, Razom for Ukraine, Vilni Media, and other publications.
Her documentary photography has received international recognition, including selection as a Top 200 Finalist in Photolucida Critical Mass and recognition in the International Color Awards.
